About Malcolm Print E-mail

I grew up in Caringbah from the time I was six and attended Burraneer Bay Public School, Cronulla Public School and Caringbah High School.

After stuying law while working full time.  I then practised as a Barrister before I was elected to Parliament in 1984.  I am grateful that I lived in a community like the Sutherland Shire that provided opportunities for me without any inherited wealth or connections.

My number one priority has, and always will be, representing the people of the Cronulla electorate.  My mission is to preserve and enhance our quality of life so that together we enjoy the best possible lifestyle.

My Parliamentary service has included Government Whip, Opposition Whip, Secretary to Shadow Cabinet, Chairman on the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).  Currently I am a member of the Committee on the Office of the Ombudsman and Police Integrity Commission.

We are fortunate to live in an area that has a community spirit second to none.  Every day I continue to be humbled and amazed at the tireless and selfless contributions by individuals and organisations to the betterment of our community.  By working with the community over thousands of millions of new and upgraded facilities has been achieved.
