2010 COMMUNITY GRANTS OPEN Print E-mail

Member for Cronulla Malcolm Kerr invited Community groups in the Cronulla electorate to apply for funding which has again been made available under the Community Building Partnership fund.

The Cronulla electorate will receive $300 000 to spend on community, social, cultural, recreational and environmental projects.

Incorporated community groups will be able to apply for funding to help build projects that deliver positive results for the local community.  The projects will generate employment through:

construction of new capital works;

refurbishment, repairs and maintenance to existing capital facilities; or

the purchase of capital equipment that enables the delivery of  new or enhanced community services.

Last year competition was strong among the community organisations in the Cronulla electorate that applied.  Applications for projects totalling $1 206 029 were received, far out numbering the amount available.  Organisations are encouraged to visit the website early to check their eligibility and information needed for their application.

Applications for funding close on 23 July 2010.  Application forms are available only online at www.communitybuildingpartnership.nsw.gov.au .
